Fountain Hills Paws Around the Fountain April 3rd 2011

Harry and Ruffus

Looking to find someone that is going to love you unconditionally, will always be there for you on a down day, will be ever so appreciative and grateful for everything you do for them and will even “lick your toes”? Then you need to show up on Sunday, April 3rd between 10 am and 3 pm to  pick out the companion of your dreams at Fountain Park in Fountain Hills. Once again Fountain Hills is hosting Paws Around the Fountain which was such a success last year that gave nearly 100 pets loving homes.

This year will be even better with over 50 animal rescue groups that will be presenting their animals for adoption. There wil be Lure Coursing, Microchipping $30 and low cost vaccinations for $14 on site provided by AZ Animal Welfare League/SPCA. Plus Healing Hearts Animal Rescue and Refuge will be there with its mobile surgery unit where it will be performing low-cost spay/neuter surgeries. For the surgeries you need to call ahead to 480-772-9502 for an appointment

This event  is put on by the Town of Fountain Hills, ADOG of  Fountain Hills and PACC911 and is sponsored by PetSmart Charities. There are so many loving animals that are in shelters that need a forever home. This event gives them an opportunity to join a loving and caring family, something many of them have not had for a long time and for some ever had.

This is going to be a family affair with pony rides and a children’ petting zoo. Cactus Jack will return to spin his oldies as DJ and announcer. The whole family is invited including your “leashed” or “crated” cats and dogs. What we are all hoping for, including Harry and Ruffus, is that you come out and have a great time and hopefully go home with a larger family than you came with.

For more information you can contact ADOG at 480-816-0196 or PACC911 at 602-340-0415
